Villa Samui
The dictionary definition of a villa is A house, often larger and more expensive than average, in the countryside or on the coast, often used as a retreat. This can mean a variety of things, but the key word in this definition is the word 'retreat'. Any purchase of a villa should at the very least mean that the purchaser has a retreat from the rigors of daily life.
The size and spec of villas anywhere in the world can vary greatly. What should be constant is the standard of the build quality and fixtures and fittings. As long as we have these in place we can start to work out what extra features we would like to include.
Most villas will have a swimming pool - a pretty good idea for a place like koh Samui, so near the Equator. The sizes may vary, and you will probably need to invest in a large property if you are looking for a pool that will enable you to swim. Most pools are there for a cooling dip and for the kids to enjoy - swimming for exercise is not likely to be an option for most properties.
Along with the pool many villas will have gym facilities. Again it is more likely that the gym will be larger for those in larger properties. In all honesty, I think when it comes to facilities - size is important.
Of course it is not just the material aspects of a property that will make you fall in love with a property, the aesthetics are the all important clincher for most people. Whether it is the dream beachfront plot that you always dreamed of, or the isolation of the location, or perhaps one of the many spectacular views available from the hillsides that are all around the island.
Whatever it is you require, Koh Samui can provide it.
