About Koh Samui

Koh Samui is Thailand's third largest Island and in the last ten to fifteen years has grown into one of Asia's premier tourists destinations.

Koh samui is situated in the Gulf of Thailand and is part of a group of islands, including Koh Phangan and Koh Tao. Koh Samui is the only one of the three main islands that boasts an airport, and as such has developed much faster than the other islands. It also means that the potential for development and tourism will remain much greater – with no plans, or even perhaps the potential to develop airports elsewhere in the group of islands.

Samui is also only a short ferry ride from the mainland and Surat Thani – the provincial capital. This means that there is also easy access to many other attractions around Southern Thailand.
